Designed by George Wight (1872-1951) for the United States Shipping Board Emergency Fleet Corporation and published by Forbes in 1918. This powerful and patriotic image depicts a sailor raising his cap high on the mast of a newly built ship for the war effort and is a rare find especially in this condition.
Originally rolled this poster was in very fine condition prior to linen backing with only minor wear along the margins.
