SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS, Original Vintage Movie Theater Window Card

SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS, 1954. Original Window Card (14” x 22” / 46 x 72 cm) starring Howard Keel and Jane Powell; co-starring Jeff Richards, Russ Tamblyn, and Tommy Rall. Directed by Stanley Donen; based loosely on the Stephen Vincent Benet story “Sobbin’ Women”. One of the best MGM musicals of the 1950’s, the story is set in 1850 Oregon on a ranch – a backwoodsman brings his new wife Milly home to his farm and his six other brothers realize they also want to have a wife. “MGM’s love-making musical”

This un-folded window card is in good original C7 condition, but does have some minor wear along the margin edges; a small stain in top center near margin, and a “snipe” at the top of the window card – appearing as writing in blue marker from the original theater the movie premiered at. The snipe is states the days the movie was scheduled to play, “El Rio / Sun. Mon. Tue.” This marker unfortunately cannot be removed, but we see it as part of the window card’s history.
